Modesty Patrol

Jennifer, Laura's step-sister, is getting married on December 29. It just so happens that Jennifer is as much a prude as Laura is. Katie, Laura's step-sister, bought Jennifer lingerie for Christmas. Jennifer began to open the package and quickly shut it without making a scene. However, everyone at the Weber house watches while you open your gift. Kim, Laura's step-sister, snatched the box away from Jennifer and pulled out the skimpy lingerie. She displayed it for everyone. Brian, Jennifer's fiance, blushed. Haley happend to walk through the room while Kim was holding up the lingerie while everyone whistled and laughed. Haley nonchalantly commented, "Wow, you're definitely gonna have to wear a shirt under that." I suppose you have to know how much Laura and I have instilled in Haley the importance of modesty to understand the comedy of the situation. Haley has a tendency to be blunt and express her thoughts without reservation. The other day in Wal-Mart Haley and Allie were walking past the bra section with Nana and Stephanie while shopping. I suppose they'd never noticed that bras have pictures on them. Well, Haley and Allie both noticed the pictures and blurted out, "Look Nana . . . BOOBS!" They were apalled. They could not believe the immodesty. They stopped two men walking down the aisle in the middle of the store to enlighten them as to the pictures of boobs in the bra section and their immodesty. Well, at least we know we've taught them well. We hope they will continue to have those same morals as they grow up to be teenagers.
