Haley's First Day of School

Here's Haley on the first day of Kindergarten. We walk to school most mornings or the girls ride their bikes. Haley wasn't afraid on her first day. She walked right into class and joined the rest of the children.

When Allie, Emily and I picked her up she was very excited to see us. She said she had fun, but she was disappointed about not having more time to play with the kitchen in her classroom. Since then we've learned that Haley gets more play time if we get to school early. We leave the house at 8:05 so that Haley gets 20 minutes of play time before school starts. She's doing very well with her reading. She's learned a lot of words and phonics using the Dick and Jane readers. She especially enjoys going to the library on Wednesdays.
